I received this two days after ordering. This comes with batteries! I must say this forehead and ear thermometer is very well made and well worth the price you pay. This is so easy that even a kid can use this. You can either check your temp in your ear or on your forehead for the kids who hate things being put in their ear. But there is a 2 degree temperature difference between your ear and forehead like all thermometers like this. If you where to go buy one of these from Walmart you would be paying a arm and a leg so I would recommend getting this right here on amazon.
